ANPA Stop-The-Bleed Campaign

Support ANPA's ongoing program

Life-threatening bleeding can happen in people injured in serious accidents or disasters. Instead of being a witness, you can become an immediate responder because you know how to STOP THE BLEEDThe STOP THE BLEED campaign is aimed at teaching about 1 million people quick techniques to help save a life before someone bleeds out:

  • (1) How to use your hands to apply pressure to a wound
  • (2) How to pack a wound to control bleeding
  • (3) How to correctly apply a tourniquet.

These three techniques will empower you to assist in an emergency and potentially save a life.

The Helping Babies Survive Programs

ANPA Helping Babies Survive is a suite of evidence-based, hands-on training programs developed to reduce neonatal mortality in resource-limited environments.

Together, the HBS programs ensure that birth attendants have the necessary skills and competencies to provide high-quality care to newborns after birth.

ANPA provides this skills-based “train the trainer” module of facilitator training to eligible candidates to provide the skills, tools, and resources to assist providers of Newborn Care toward improving neonatal survival.

The Malaria Awareness Program

Malaria is preventable and treatable, yet remains the most prevalent parasitic endemic disease in Africa. To further raise awareness, WHO celebrates World Malaria Day each year on 25 April to underscore the collective energy and commitment of the global malaria community in uniting around the common goal of a world free of malaria.

1. Medical Missions/Volunteerism
Our Medical Missions offer us the opportunity to provide free healthcare to the medically indigent, in rural parts of Nigeria, Africa, the Caribbean, and other needy regions of the world.
2. Improve Nigerian Healthcare
To seek collaborative research opportunities in the international medical community and contribute to improved health care in Nigeria, the Americas and worldwide.
3. Professional Development
To identify and stimulate interest in all matters affecting the health of Nigerians and provide the forum for debating evolving health issues in search for solutions.
4. Leadership Opportunities
We meet with African leaders and officials in charge of Health Care, such as the President of Nigeria, the Minister of Health and other senior government officials.
5. Practice Referrals
We publish a directory and maintain a database of Nigerian physicians in the US, Canada, the Caribbean and Nigeria with the specialty and location of their practices.
